    READ HIS FUNERAL SERMON
    Rev. Dr. John E. Price Kept It Near His Bed for Fifteen Years.
    Yesterday at noon funeral services were held over the remains of the late Rev. Dr. John E. Price, who died on Thursday at Philadelphia. Rev. W. H. Ferguson conducted the funeral. Rev. W. H. Marshall preached the funeral sermon. Tributes were paid by Rev. Dr. S. C. Swallow, Rev. James A. Stokes, Rev. L. G. Mitchell and Professor John P. Scott.
    The funeral sermon, at request of Rev. Dr. Price, had been prepared by Rev. Mr. Marshall over fifteen months ago, and had been kept near the invalid's bed. It was brought here with the body and preached as he had arranged.
    Among the city relatives were Mrs. Mary Sigler, Mrs. M. Fisher and Mrs. Mary Spotwood. Dr. Price was born in this county in 1823 and moved here in 1828. Ten years ago he retired from the ministry and went to Philadelphia to live with his daughters, who were here with his remains.
