    My Contribution: I served as dean of the board of elders at Capital Presbyterian Church for decades. I started the Springdale neighborhood in Allison Hill. And I advocated for my son to be able to attend a white school in 1871.

    My Legacy: I provided crucial leadership in Harrisburg, in leading Capital Presbyterian Church and pioneering residency in Springdale. Capital Presbyterian Church still stands as a visible marker of my investments during my lifetime.

He was a member of the Capital Street Presbyterian Church for nearly sixty years, serving as dean of the board of elders.     DANIEL BAKER COOPER Funeral services were held this afternoon from the' Capital Street Presbyterian Church for Daniel Baker Cooper, who died on Tuesdav In the Harrisburg Hospital following an illness of three weeks, Mr. Cooper was born at Winchester, Va., June 2, 1849, and when quite young went to Pontotoc, Miss., where ha remained until after the Civil War. He married and came to Harrisburg to live and for sixteen years was In the employ of Spencer C. then went to live at the home of Francis J. Hall, where he stayed for sixteen years, until he became ill. Mr. Cooper was a member ofthe Capital Street Presbyterian Church for thirty years and an elder for nine years. He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Amle Cole and Mrs. Sinna Summers, both of this city, and one son, Daniel Cooper, of New York City; eight grandchildren; two brothers, Turner Cooper, of this city, and Thomas Cooper, of Washington. The Kev. li. M. Ward, of Rochester, assisted by the Eev. Stephen McNeil, of Wesley A. M. E. Church, will officiated at the funeral services this afternoon. Burial was in Lincoln Cemetery.
