  Notes	WAS IT A MURDER? A MAN'S DEAD BODY ON THE TRACK A Steelton Sensation for the Coroner to Investigate. Special Correspondence to the Telegraph. STEELTON, March 22. This morning the lifeless body of Wm. Blakey, a colored man, was found on the tracks of the Pennsylvania railroad. Blakey boarded with Joseph Gore, in Mumma's row, along the railroad, and was on night duty at the Lochiel furnaces. Mrs. Gore packed his lunch kettle last evening and Blakey said he was going to a dance, and would call for it later, but he failed to do so, and early this morning Gore was told that a corpse lay above his house. He at once identified it as that of his boarder. Blakey attended the dance, which was held in that vicinity, and drank freely, and the supposition is that while returning home this morning in an intoxicated condition he got on the tracks and was struck by Fast Line east at 3:50, as the traces along the track showed that he had been dragged about ten yards. He was 24 years old, and his home was at Milinee, Va. His brother, Battle Blakey, resides here and took charge of the corpse after the coroner's jury viewed the remains. There is another theory in regard to his death. After carefully examining the Corpse it was found that the only mark on his body was in his neck, where there was a large gash as if inflicted by a razor, which leaves a doubt as to the cause of his death. The supposition is that he got into a squabble and that he was foully dealt with, and then his body placed on the railroad track to leave the impression that he was struck by the cars. The coroner will make a thorough investigation of the matter. Coroner Hoy's jury found that Blakey came to his death by being struck by a locomotive while trespassing on the railroad track. Blakey's neck and jaw were broken and his skull crushed, but there were no marks on his body, which is very suspicious, to say the least. A locomotive striking a man would most likely leave marks other than those on the head and neck.
