"Editor Telegraph; Dear Sir: Last evening the Telegraph contains an article headed "Sent Out to Beg." The article states that the mother had sent the boy out begging, notwithstanding the husband or father is employed at the Pennsylvania railroad round house. Quite a number of the employees think it refers to me, as I am the only colored man employed at the Pennsylvania round house. Would you please correct the error existing, as the case in question does not apply to my family. My residence is 341 Boyd avenue. Yours respectfully, Marshall Spence."
